Manchester United 'Trigger Joao Felix's £106m Release Clause'

Manchester United  have become favourites to sign Benfica wonderkid Joao Felix after triggering his £106million release clause, the Sun newspaper publisher reports.

Felix, 19, had a fine first full season in the Benfica first XI, scoring 20 goals in all competitions.

The young Portuguese’s performances have led to comparisons with countryman Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to The Sun, Ole Gunner Solskjaer sees Felix as a prime target and have made the move to secure his services ahead of their rivals.

Felix has been linked with both Manchester City and Manchester United, with his release clause sitting at around £106million (€120m).

Joao Felix could make his senior Portugal debut this week - and City will reportedly have a scout there to see it.

This could be an ideal signing for City if they pull it off, with the Guardian recently reporting on Bayern Munich’s pursuit of Leroy Sane.
